April plans to confront Duke, and find out if he is married. Afraid that April will pursue him to San Francisco, Duke arranges for her to be gang raped. The next morning, fearing that April may be to badly hurt to leave his hotel on her own, Duke calls Elizabeth and tells her that April went with him to a wild party and may still be there. Elizabeth goes to the hotel and finds April, nearly dead and wanting to die.

It takes months, but April slowly recovers, as the restaurant she designed for Duke is being built. Elizabeth thinks she knows what April needs and arranges to take her to a lesbian bar. There, April learns the reason Wendi left Kevin and the two are reunited. When Wendi learns of the rape she swears revenge on Duke Martin. The night of the restaurants opening is the night she springs her trap.
