LYSIMACHIA ~ FIRECRACKER FRINGE LOOSESTRIFE
I love the almost BLACK foliage on this plant more than the yellow flowers. It can be grown as a thick ground cover, or trained into a "low hedge" .. they say it needs constantly moist soil. not when established. I've had it for 13 yrs. and only saw it dry out once, when we had that bad dry summer. It is hardy otherwise, in full sun.
Lysimachia ciliata “Firecracker”
Height: 18-24 in.
Spacing: 24-36 in.
Hardiness: Zone 2
Sun Exposure: Partial to Full Shade
Bloom Color: Bright Yellow
Bloom Time: Mid Summer
Foliage: Grown for foliage ~ Herbaceous ~ Burgundy
Other details: May be a noxious weed or invasive ~~ I just tear 'em out to control them. and keep them in their own space. weeds sure don't like trying to grow in them, they 'beat 'em up!!
Requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between waterings (again I've only had one bad summer drought that it suffered. then again so did my willows!
EACH: $4.00 or 3/$10.00
